Wolfpussy Origin Story

I became a Bering Sea crab fisherman in 2016, and during my second season I was given the nickname Wolfpussy by a gentleman and scholar named CrabFuca aka Ozark aka Shane. The name stuck. I have worn it on my raingear like a badge of honor for nearly a decade now. The name has been a symbol of lightheartedness, and always put a smile on my crew's faces - even in the middle of the storm.

In my off-season, I often travel to South America. On a trip to Colombia I was introduced to agua de panela. I loved it and always thought someone should try to bring it to the United States. After several years of thinking about it I decided "Why not, why can't I be the MVP of the league?" - Derrick Rose.

In 2022 I got in touch with a co-op of panela farmers in Nocaima, Colombia and visited their facilities. We worked together to get them FDA certified to export to the U.S. and I purchased my first shipment of panela. I partnered with a co-packer in Stevenson, Washington to have my drink produced, and on Nov, 27th 2024, Wolfpussy's Colombian Lemonade was officially born.

I thought that was the hard part, but turns out, sales and marketing are hard (send me back to the Bering Sea). It's been a privilege to face all the new challenges, and I hope to keep growing and bringing you all quality products with quality ingredients without compromising or sacrificing authenticity.
